From kalapathar I can see Rocky Hall
A Tibetan sparrow ate from my hand at 5550 meters
It is late Tuesday night at Lobouche high in the himala.
Much excitement today.
A chopper crashed a few hundred meters from our tea house
A miracle
No one injured
The problem
One morbidly obese American needed to be airlifted out and the chopper did not have enough grunt to get him up up and away so the captain aborted during lift off and they tipped over.
The nepalis think it is hysterical and are busy syphoning the fuel out of the still warm chopper as a " safety" measure.
They are magnificent.
More sable Bharat for dinner tonight.
Wednesday morning
Leaving Lobuche
Heading to meet ringpoche
at the Tengboche monastry
He needs guidance
The blue bluer sky was at my fingertips
Sagamartha was just there
I closed my eyes
I could hear the crashing of the snowfall ( not avalanche )
as the late morning sun warmed the mountains
Yesterday was base camp
This morning we did Kalapattar
After lunch, we start the walk down
I have patted a mountain pony
Today I meet with ringpoche
He was impressed
The sparrow in my hand was up there with when the yak meet my eye.
love
and
peace
